Hi, Hello, and Welcome!

I’m Clarissa- author of this blog, first-time homeschool mom, and wrangler of two wild boys! I’ve been hanging out in this little corner of the internet for a few years now, sharing how we learn and play together at home.  Maybe you’ve found this place after seeing some of our popular play ideas on Pinterest (Foil Printed Tree Art or There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly Activity), or maybe you found us via Instagram and our daily play ideas there. No matter how you got here, I’m so glad you’ve decided to poke around and explore a little more! Let me tell you a bit more about myself:
I’m a former elementary school teacher. I love teaching- education is my passion….but so are my kids. When we had our boys (see the full story on them HERE), I had to decide between staying home to care for them or going back to work. It was honestly a tough decision, but in the end my heart spoke loud and clear that being a stay-at-home mom was what I was made for- so here I am!
Once I made the decision to stay home, the decision to homeschool my kids came naturally. It can be a bit nerve-racking to be a first-time homeschool mom, but I am jumping in and sharing that journey with you all here! So thank you for sticking around, joining the community, and sharing what you’ve learned as well! I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us!
Sincerely,
Clarissa
